Trying to get my boys and even myself (yea I'm a big kid with a sweet tooth) to eat veggies everyday is nothing short of a nightmare! They just won't do it! So guess what, a few times a day we get a fruit and veggie smoothie, that is so heavily blended with organic vanilla yogurt, honey, organic fruits, veggies and blueberry juice, that they have no idea they're essentially getting their veggie and fruit intake for the day! Hell I almost don't know except I'm mixing it:)! So it's a win-win for everyone!

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you begin your smoothie journey:
1. Reach for organic fruits and dairy whenever possible! You can also opt for frozen fruits and veggies, you will get the same healthy benefits.
2. Go low-fat or Greek yogurt. Regular yogurt is jam packed with sugars and high in fat.
3. Try to add a banana no matter what the recipe calls for. They are rich in potassium and B6 and add a nice richness to the smoothie.
4. Tea is a great way to add extra antioxidants to your smoothie. Try brewing green tea, Rooibos, or any of your faves and add to your mix!
