Foods To Jumpstart Your Metabolism

Hey beauties!  So I've gotten back on my healthy track again, I know I know I fall off then get back on again, hey but at least I get back up right!?!  I wanted to share a list of foods that can help in your weight loss goals!!  It is so important to understand your body and how to maintain your weight in a  healthy manner and a good start is knowing what foods can assist you in your journey.

One item on this list that is my absolute fave is green tea.  I make sure every morning to have one cup with breakfast to not only jump start my day but my metabolism too!

I recently found this awesome Facebook page called All Things O' Natural and it is a great resource to tap into if you want to learn all the natural, organic, holistic ways to feed your body, skin and hair!!  She also makes and sells natural hair and skincare products!! Def like her on FB you won't be disappointed!!

Here's to a healthier you and me!!

Stay Beautiful Beauties~

A Week In Frisco: Dia Cinco

This day was like the never ending story, it was a fantastic, miracle day all in one.  We decided to hit up a few places spaced relatively far apart all in one day with three toddlers in tow, not an easy task!

Here was the plan: travel from SF to Monterey to visit the spectacular Monterey Bay Aquarium (112 mi drive); then from the Aquarium  to Dennis the Menace Playground, which is probably one of the most amazing parks around (short drive from the Aquarium) and from the awesomest park in Ca to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (45 mi drive) and then back home to SF...whewww!!  We pulled this entire day of travel and fun off with no major meltdowns or other toddler power struggles!! Def an amazing feat and great day!

The two year old crew!! They are the best of cousins on the way to the Aquarium to see fishy!!
Daddy!
The boys enjoying the indoor waterfall!!
This park has it all!! It's a must visit if you have kids and are in the area!!
Poppa wheeling his grandboys into the park!!

Check out that awesome bridge!! The kids loved it!!
After running around this park for about an hour plus, we loaded everyone into the car and started our trip to Santa Cruz!  It had been years since I last visited the boardwalk and this was my husband's first visit, so we were pretty excited!!  Plus it was such a beautiful day we figured the boys would nap in the car, catch their second wind and be ready to party on the boardwalk! And that we did!

The boardwalk was packed!!

Looks crazy!!
Ok this is going to sound so old fogey of me, but I have no desire to ride these type of rides anymore.  I used to loooove the thrill and scare of a good roller coaster ride,  now the very thought actually turns my stomach a bit.  Well and it doesn't help this particular day I was coming off a night of partying, so was nursing a smmaall hangover, but hangover or not I don't like roller coasters anymore!

Dress: J. Crew; Shoes: Urban Outfitters
1st stop: Ice cream time!! Him and that ice cream have their own unspoken language!! Lol

Yep, he's happy!!:)

I somehow inherited his brother's cone!
One ride with daddy before heading home!!

Not much has changed on the boardwalk, some expansion and bigger and better rides, but the beachy boardwalk vibe is still the same!! I was so happy we squeezed everything into that day and I was able to show my boys a little piece of mommy's childhood and they loved every bit of it!!  Until next time Santa Cruz, until next time~

Waterproofing Your Makeup

Ok ladies so the humidity in DC has been ridic.ulous.ly brutal and I am finding that the more I sweat the less my foundation is able to hold up to the climate and I can absolutely forget about going in the water with a finished, flawless look and coming out that way! So I went on a rampant search to try to find products, in a good price point, that not only hold up to the brutal affects humidity can have on your makeup but also product that can withstand a nice leisurely day in water and still come out gorgeously intact!! I found this awesome, very detailed YouTube tutorial and want to share it with my beauties so that you can look absolutely gorgeous in the sun and enjoy the summer fun!! As always, Stay Beautiful Beauties!

A Week in Frisco: Dia Tres

Ok so I'm baccckk with Dia Tres of my wonderful time in San Francisco!! I spent this day with my hubby and boys and we actully just cruised the city checking out some of my old fave stomping grounds,  like the Haight Ashbury and well the Haight Ashbury!  There's so much randomness and fun sights and peeps in this one neighborhood that before we knew it, the day was almost gone and it was time to head back home for dinner!! So welcome to the infamous Haight y'all!

Bag: Coach
Skirt: Francesca's Boutique; T-Shirt: Club Monaco; Shoes: DSW
My boys little feet!!
A very strange but interesting wall mural!!

I love the freedom of art and expression in all of the wall murals around the city, not just in the Haight!! It really adds color and depth and originality to my city!!

LOL!! I couldn't resist!! The sign to this business speaks for itself!!
I really don't know what was going on here, but only in the Haight! LOL
I just love the colorful, old Victorian's!!

Necklace: Vintage; Watch: Vintage Timex belonged to my granddad; Bracelet: Tiffany's

I have always wanted a pic on the wonderful staircase leading into Buena Vista Park, so that's what I got!! That's a wrap!!  If you missed Dia Dos of my "A Week in Frisco" series, check it out here!

Gypsy Bedroom Designs

Hi, all! It's Mari here from Arcadian Lighting, an excellent online place to find dazzling chandeliers, wall sconces, and lighting fixtures of all sorts. I'm excited to be visiting B3LLA CARA today with a guest post about adding gypsy style to bedrooms.

As more and more homeowners and apartment dwellers take the plunge and go with their hearts to create their own versions of a dream home, many are choosing a colorful gypsy-influenced style. Whether it’s a matter of going for an over-the-top gypsy look where more is always better or a subtle contemporary gypsy-inspired chic, this highly personalized style is having an influence on lots of today's interior spaces. For your inspiration, here is my take on interesting ways to bring gypsy style to the bedroom:

Gypsy Bedroom

A great starting point for creating bedrooms with beautiful layered and colorful gypsy style is exploring the interiors of gypsy caravans. Here is a vintage gypsy bedroom filled with all the appeal of layer upon layer of sumptuous textiles and furnishings. Also notice the original lighting, iron bed and decorative ceiling.

Gypsy Bedroom

This built-in bed nook has all the appeal of the gypsy space above, but in a much more restrained and refined style. The textiles used here are new, but with that same colorful look.

Gypsy Bedroom

This eclectic bedroom with an ethnic vibe has the look of gypsy style in a more traditional space. It uses Moroccan elements that fit right in with the gypsy aesthetic. I love the mismatched bedside chests and the simple and slightly elegant lamps.

Gypsy Bedroom

This small bedroom has lots of gypsy style in its lovely mix of textiles with a global vibe. I love the unique handmade canopy with its pretty fabrics, feathers and tiny lanterns.

Gypsy Bedroom

This sunny white space has its own touches of gypsy style in a multitude of colorful wallpapers and colorful vintage pillows—a very restrained version of the gypsy look but one that shows off its roots proudly.

Gypsy Bedroom

Another updated look combines a few touches of gypsy color in a mostly white space. For the more adventurous soul, this bedroom could easily be amped up with more layers of colorful textile on the bed or covering the canopy above.

Gypsy Bedroom

This glamping tent shows off another version of today's gypsy style with its contemporary furnishings and hanging light fixture. It's colorful and layered with touches of vintage here and there—all come together to create a beautiful and portable gypsy style bedroom.

Gypsy Bedroom

This bedroom has been called gypsy chic and that name seems to fit. With lovely layering of fabrics and eclectic furnishings chosen for their personal appeal, it has all the elements of gypsy style without the color—a lovely unique space.
